Melissa Fice attended Fleming College in Haliburton, Ontario, where she studied general arts. After graduating at Fleming, she attended OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drawing and painting. Since finishing her education she has participated in multiple group exhibitions. She has shown work at The Super Wonder Gallery in Toronto, ON. Fice also participated in a Black Lives Matter charity auction through the Eraser Gallery in Toronto, where her work sold and the profits went to to Black Lives Matter – Toronto.
Melissa’s work embodies mind manifesting by depicting an inner universe that symbolizes the mind and psyche. She incorporates various elements into her work including portraits, motifs, symbols and objects. By combining all these elements together, she creates alternate realities and abstract imagery that explore her mind and psyche.
